Defeating Fear

Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends for you to be. You must move against it with the weapons of faith and love.
Rick Warren

You can defeat fear if you acknowledge Me as your Protector, your Strength, your Victor, and your God. Faith and love always cast out fear. Do not allow apprehension, fright, and uncertainty to occupy your thoughts. Make room for the powerful change that faith and love will bring to your mind and heart. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18, NIV).
When fear knocks at your door, it will often bring dangerous options: emotional paralysis, denial, bitterness, and escape into destructive choices. Don’t let fear into your heart. Instead, use the weapons of faith and love. Whenever you experience sorrow for the things that trigger your fear, express that sadness to Me. That will lead you to a place of humbly asking for My help. By submitting yourself to My authority while embracing My love, you will begin turning fear into fresh faith, renewed hope, and purposeful action.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10, NIV
