The Gift of Eternal Life

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Devotional:
God's first priority was rescuing you from eternal separation. While you were still lost in sin, Christ died for you—not because you deserved it, but because He loved you extravagantly. This is the foundation of the gospel: Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Today, reflect on the barrier that sin created between you and God, and how Jesus demolished that barrier through His sacrifice. Don't take this casually. Your salvation wasn't cheap—it cost Jesus everything. When did you last pause to thank Him for pulling you from destruction? Let gratitude flood your heart today, remembering that you once were lost, but now you're found. This isn't just theology; it's your personal rescue story.
