Breaking the Spirit of Robbery
Reading: Malachi 3:8-12; 2 Corinthians 9:6-11
Devotional: "Will a man rob God?" This confrontational question demands honest self-examination. When we withhold tithes and offerings, we're not just being financially irresponsible—we're robbing God and cursing ourselves. But God's rebuke comes with a remarkable promise: bring all the tithes into the storehouse, and He will open heaven's windows and rebuke the devourer. This isn't a lottery ticket or magical formula; it's covenant faithfulness. God established an economy where His people fund His work, and He blesses them in return—creating a cycle of kingdom abundance. Tithing isn't about what you give up; it's about positioning yourself under God's supernatural provision and protection.
Reflection: Are you robbing God? What would faithful, proportional giving look like in your life right now?
