Demolition Before Renovation
Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 4:22-24
Devotional: Renovation always begins with demolition. God must tear down walls, remove rotted structures, and clear away what cannot support the new thing He's building. This process can be uncomfortable—traditions that need questioning, habits requiring breaking, relationships needing boundaries. But if you stop God's demolition, you ruin His renovation. The old must go for the new to come. Paul was clear: we must put off the old self and put on the new. This isn't self-improvement; it's divine reconstruction. God isn't remodeling your flesh; He's building something entirely new. Trust the process. The temporary mess of demolition leads to the permanent beauty of transformation.
Reflection: What old structures is God asking you to let Him tear down in your life?
