Love That Endures

Love suffers long. This isn't the comfortable, convenient love we prefer—it's the love that stays when everything in us wants to leave. God's love for you didn't quit when you were at your worst. It endured your rebellion, your mistakes, your wandering. Today, consider where you've been placing boundaries on your love for others. Who have you written off? What relationship have you abandoned because it became too difficult? The same love that reached you in your mess is now flowing through you. It's not weak—it's the strongest force in existence. Christ stayed on the cross when He could have come down. That's your example. Let His constraining love control your responses today, especially toward those who challenge you most.
