Accepting the Plan

Reading
 Acts 2:36-39
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

 John 1:10-12
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Devotional
Jesus came to His own, yet His own did not receive Him. The greatest tragedy is not the absence of God's plan, but our rejection of it because it doesn't match our expectations. The Jews missed their Messiah because He arrived on a donkey instead of a stallion, as a carpenter's son instead of a military general. How often do we miss God's movement in our lives because it doesn't look like what we imagined? God's plan for salvation is perfect, but it requires your acceptance. You cannot customize God's rescue plan to fit your comfort zone. Today, examine where you might be resisting God's plan because of how it's "packaged." Surrender your expectations and embrace His perfect design.
