Shining Your Light

Reading
Matthew 5:14-16 KJV
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Devotional
Jesus calls us to be the light of the world. This isn't just a nice metaphor - it's a divine calling. When we let our light shine, we're not drawing attention to ourselves, but reflecting God's glory. Today, consider: How bright is your light? Are there areas of your life where you've hidden your light "under a bushel"? Ask God to help you shine brightly in every aspect of your life, from your workplace to your family relationships. Remember, your good deeds aren't for your own glory, but to glorify your Father in heaven.
