Love That Covers

Devotional
Peter calls us to "fervent charity," a deep, intense love that covers a multitude of sins. This isn't love that ignores wrongdoing, but love that refuses to keep a record of wrongs. It's the kind of love that chooses forgiveness over bitterness, compassion over judgment. Paul describes this love as patient, kind, not easily angered, and keeping no record of wrongs. Many believers struggle here because past hurts have created defense mechanisms. Your lack of love may actually be self-protection. But Christ's healing reaches those wounded places. By His stripes, you are healed—including the emotional and relational wounds. The scars remain as testimony, but the infection is gone. Today, bring your laundry list of offenses to God. Ask Him to help you release those who've wronged you, not because they deserve it, but because you've been forgiven much.

Reflection Question
Who do you need to extend "fervent charity" toward, and what specific offense do you need to release today?
