Subduing Your Marketplace

Reading: Matthew 5:13-16; Colossians 3:23-24

Devotional: Your marketplace isn't just your church—it's your home, workplace, neighborhood, and every sphere of influence God has placed you in. Jesus calls you to let your light shine in these places so others see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. The gospel isn't confined to Sunday services; it's demonstrated Monday through Saturday in how you love your spouse, raise your children, conduct business, and interact with strangers. Your character at the grocery store, your integrity on the job, your kindness to the difficult waitress—these are the grounds where kingdom fruit grows. Stop compartmentalizing your faith. Every interaction is an opportunity to subdue territory for the kingdom.

Reflection: Where is your primary marketplace? How can you better reflect Christ there this week?
