Hope in Suffering
Reading
Romans 5:3-5
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Devotional
Suffering is an inevitable part of life, but Paul reveals a surprising perspective - we can actually rejoice in our sufferings. This isn't about enjoying pain, but recognizing its potential to produce perseverance, character, and hope. Reflect on a difficult season you've faced. Can you identify ways it strengthened your character or deepened your hope? Today, if you're facing challenges, ask God to help you see them through this lens of spiritual growth. How might viewing your trials as opportunities for development change your attitude towards them?
