Recognizing the Gift of God

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is God's promise to all who believe. This gift, like the living water Jesus spoke of, transforms us from the inside out. Today, consider how you've experienced the Holy Spirit in your life. Have you fully embraced this gift? If you feel you haven't, what's holding you back? Spend time in prayer, asking God to help you recognize and receive His gift more fully. How might your life look different if you allowed the Holy Spirit to flow through you like a mighty river?
