Sowing and Reaping

Reading
Genesis 1:11-12 KJV
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Devotional
The principle of sowing and reaping is foundational in both the natural and spiritual realms. Just as plants produce fruit after their kind, our actions and attitudes yield corresponding results in our lives. Today, examine the fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians. Which of these qualities do you want to see more of in your life? Remember, we can't expect to reap what we haven't sown. Choose one aspect of the fruit of the Spirit to intentionally cultivate today. Ask God to help you sow seeds of love, joy, peace, or any other spiritual fruit, trusting that in time, you will reap a harvest of Christlike character.
