Handle Your Business

Reading
Joshua 17:14-18 KJV
14 And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the Lord hath blessed me hitherto? 15 And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee. 16 And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
17 And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only: 18 But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.

Proverbs 6:6-11 KJV
6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Devotional
The children of Joseph saw obstacles where God saw opportunity. They complained about trees instead of recognizing lumber for building. How often do we look at our circumstances and see only problems rather than provision? God has placed resources within your reach, but they require action. The woods weren't a barrier—they were building materials waiting to be harvested. Your blessing may not look like you expected, arriving in a "brown box with no bow" instead of gift-wrapped perfection. Stop counting other people's blessings and maximize what God has given you. Champions don't wait for perfect conditions; they work with what's in their hands. What "woodland" is God asking you to clear today? Your promise requires participation. Handle your business, and watch God multiply your faithfulness.
