Love Without Limits

Reading: Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Philippians 2:5–8 (KJV)
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Devotional:
God didn't have to become human to display His power—He could have performed miracles from heaven. But salvation required blood, and blood required humanity. This is the depth of divine love: God humbled Himself, taking the form of a servant, because you needed what only His sacrifice could provide. He didn't wait for you to deserve it or earn it. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Today, reflect on the lengths Jesus went to reach you. He didn't just help from a distance; He entered your mess, your pain, your world. This Christmas season, don't miss the magnitude of what the manger represents—God's willingness to be inconvenienced for your freedom.

Reflection:
How does understanding God's humility change how you view your own sacrifices for others?
