Taking Thoughts Captive

Reading: Philippians 4:6-9; Psalm 1:1-3

Devotional: Victory in the battle for your mind requires intentionality. You cannot passively hope your thoughts will align with God's truth—you must actively arrest them. Paul instructs us to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. This isn't positive thinking; it's spiritual warfare. What you consume determines what you think about. The music you listen to, the conversations you engage in, the content you watch—all of it shapes your mental battlefield. Meditation on God's Word isn't optional for the serious soldier. Day and night, you must simmer on Scripture, allowing it to transform your perspective. Filter what enters your mind. When your thoughts drift toward fear, doubt, or discouragement, capture them and replace them with God's truth.

Reflection: What are you allowing into your mind that opposes God's truth? What practical filters do you need to establish today?
