The Purpose Behind the Pain
Reading: Romans 8:28-39
Devotional: Nothing happens in your life by accident. God allows every trial to pass His desk before it reaches you. Like Job, we may not understand why difficulties come when we're faithfully serving God, but we can trust that God is working all things together for good. The persecution that accompanies blessing isn't meant to destroy us but to refine us. God must remove certain attitudes, mindsets, and behaviors before His glory can fully manifest through us. Your current struggle isn't evidence of God's absence—it's proof of His intimate involvement in your transformation. The enemy wanted your breaking to destroy you, but God is using it to develop you. Every tear, every sleepless night, every moment of desperation is being redeemed for His purposes.
