Committed Through the Fire
Reading: James 1:2-4, 12; 1 Peter 1:6-9
Devotional: The refining fire isn't meant to destroy you—it's designed to purify you. Count it all joy when trials come because the testing of your faith produces endurance, and endurance produces completeness. The longer you stay in the fire, the more impurities are burned away. Many believers want the testimony without the test, the crown without the cross, the strength without the struggle. But God uses your difficulties to develop your character. Your commitment is proven not on the mountaintop but in the valley. When weakness threatens to overwhelm you, remember: God's grace is sufficient, and when you are weak, then you are strong in Him. Stay in the fire. Don't quit. Victory is coming.
